You know what I mean?”

„I don’t watch those TV shows and if I go online and see something about myself, I don’t click on it. And the people I surround myself with don’t really talk about that kind of stuff,” the 36-year-old beauty added with a laugh. „I heard something, but I didn’t pay any attention. It’s as simple as being a woman picking a dress you like and having a night, and not really thinking about anything else.”

Jolie became the center of attention at this year’s Oscars after she showed off her right leg through the slit of her black velvet Versace gown on the red carpet and on the stage when presenting Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Screenplay. Her leg quickly became a trending topic on Twitter, and even spawned an account called „Angie’s Right Leg”.

The „In the Land of Blood and Honey” director’s stance got more attention after „The Descendants” writers Nat Faxon and Jim Rash struck similar pose when accepting their Best Adapted Screenplay prize. Hollywood star and activist Angelina Jolie greeted the conviction of a Congolese warlord Wednesday, praising the Hague court for its „strong message against the use of child soldiers”.

The International Criminal Court in its first verdict found Thomas Lubanga, 51, guilty of abducting and conscripting children as young as 11 to fight and kill in a conflict in a gold-rich region of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

After watching from the front row of the public gallery, Jolie in a statement said that „the delivery of the ICC’s first verdict is an important moment for the court, for the DRC and for the rule of law”.

„Most of all, it sends a strong message against the use of child soldiers,” she said, adding that she hoped the conviction would also „provide some measure of comfort for the victims”.

Known for her humanitarian work around the world, and her campaigning against the use of child soldiers, Jolie is funding the „Lubanga Chronicles”, a public information campaign in the DRC on the trial.

The Lubanga chronicles have spread news of the landmark proceedings through the distribution of written reports, short audio clips played on local radio stations, and short videos on the Internet.

Jolie, who wore a grey two-piece business suit in court, listened intently from behind the glass partition as Judge Adrian Fulford read the verdict, 10 years after the tribunal was launched.

The actress and director left the courtroom via a service elevator after the hearing. It was her fourth visit to the court’s fortress-like headquarters in a southern suburb of The Hague.

Previously, she attended the testimony of a child soldier and a victim as well as the closing arguments last August.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s much-speculated about wedding will happen “fairly soon”, says a source.

It has been rumoured for some time that the couple – who raise six children together – are ready to tie the knot.

After a source revealed that the pair had an “amazing time” together during Oscar weekend last month, it is now said Angelina and Brad are likely to make their nuptials happen sooner rather later. With the added speculation that Angelina is also expecting twins, the couple are reportedly keen to get the ball rolling.

„The wedding was totally off: They were having so many arguments, but they’ve finally managed to bury their differences,” a confidante explained to the US edition of OK! magazine.

„Angie is expecting twins this fall, so it is making them feel a time crunch. They decided they’d both like to welcome their twin boys to the world as man and wife, which means the wedding has to happen fairly soon. They’ve both realised how much they want to be together.”

The Hollywood pair raise six children together; adopted kids Maddox, ten, Pax, eight, and seven-year-old Zahara as well as biological children Shiloh, five, and three-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
